Heirloom No.24
Heirloom No.24 (2013) explores the concept of a child's vision of wonder and the interplay between past, present and future within collective memories. The viewer approaches the piece, which is situated at the end of a white tunnel, with the sound of Robert Burns poetry echoing though the space, giving an unexpected haunting quality which, like any good story, captivates its audience and draws them in. This sound juxtaposed with the photographs, light and shape of the installation creates a platform for discussion and sharing of stories. Developed for the group exhibition Gathering at the Pipe Gallery, Plymouth.
