Waiting Waiting (2010) explores the vision of language and the unfamiliar state of things through writing exercises and the theory of reflexivity. The concept was inspired by Joseph Cornell's box 'Fairytale'. The viewer is invited into a square white space to interact with a hanging photograph on acetate mounted on perspex and suspended across from a mirrored window. This allows the viewer to become a part of the vision in the "glimpsed shadows" and experience an altered concept of being outside without the reality and familiarity hence the unfamiliar state of things. Developed for installation in Room 101, Plymouth University, Plymouth.
